"I listen to NTI a lot and for many many years and love the music BUT this talk show on Monday - Jamie and Victor especially this am is HORRIBLE. they are discussing the first time they tried chewing tobacco and smoking their first cigars is extremely PAINFUL. and PLEASE do not say DUDE one more time. VERY unprofessional and beyond the dignity of this radio station."
To Whom It May Concern,
First and foremost, on behalf of WNTI - internet radio from Centenary University - We greatly appreciate your loyalty throughout the years. It is due to the faithful listeners like yourself that has allowed this station to persevere through the heartbreaking transition of FM broadcasting to online radio. Despite the station’s change in accessibility, as I’m sure you know, WNTI is still “Where Great Music Lives.”
On behalf of James Iwanicki, host of “The Round Up Podcast,” I must say that I am far more appreciative of your unwavering criticism than I am for your dedication to WNTI radio. As a senior journalism major and a young man whose voice and opinions will soon carry into the realm of the American press, you have contributed to teaching me two vital lessons in life - There are people who are going to hate my content, and some people don't know how to read.
As I'm sure you found out on my show on Monday, much like your clear passion for critiquing young inspired college students, I myself possess a deep passion for cigars; And sometimes when I try my hand at a new brand I can’t stand them. So trust me, I understand your frustrations.
Just to be clear, I'm pursuing a B.A in communications and not a PhD in Quantum Physics so the solution to this issue may elude me - Don't listen?
I admire your courage in all this and hope you continue to utilize that courage with our station; Perhaps while tuning into some of our other student-ran talk shows where my peers daringly put their opinions on the line for all to hear and maybe even criticize. I ask that you not misinterpret this message as someone who is offended. Instead, I ask that you interpret this email as it is - someone who is disregarding your standards of professionalism.
The Round Up Podcast
P.S. I cordially invite you to tune into our show on Wednesday from 8-10am and call in to remind us if at any time my co-hosts or I say “dude” too much for your liking.
